Thoughts from the first half:
Bernard Pollard with the sack & fumble recovery is an exciting stat to see. If he can have 4-5 sacks this year off the edge without giving up too much in coverage, this defense will win some ball games.
Tyrod Taylor leaves the game with an injury. Expect a veteran quarterback to be signed for insurance. Jake Delhomme brings the experience you want but won’t be helpful for an extended stretch. Perhaps David Carr? I don’t expect Hunter Cantwell to remain with the team.
Jalen Parmele may well lose his roster spot to Anthony Allen.
I expect LaQuan Williams to take Marcus Smith’s roster spot and possibly take time away from fellow Terp rookie Torrey Smith. He plays naturally in pads and catches the football. What more do you want?
Hopefully this game lends some clarity to which linebackers should be carried through the year.
